Congratulations to these winners! We look forward to reporting on their success with the T4 Program. We also want to thank all other teams who applied and encourage you to continue with your innovation efforts.

Last but not least, we also would like to thank the Lex Mundi Technology and Innovation Team for making this challenge possible!

Organizing4Innovation worked with all teams to help them develop their project description which was the requirement to participate in this challenge. They will continue to work with these winners to bring their ideas to practice. The teams are expected to deliver their first results within the next 6 months.

The strategic partnership

The Lex Mundi – Organizing4Innovation strategic partnership came about after a successful pilot with the T4 program in which six legal tech teams of five Lex Mundi member firms participated in 2021.

As one of the participating law firm partners said: “After nine years of trying, the T4 program helped us to get the data and facts needed to convince the partnership of this $1M investment in 16 weeks”.

For the innovation committee that evaluate their project, the T4 program was “The difference between night and day”.  The partnership agreement means Lex Mundi is bringing the T4 program to all of its 150 member firms so they can accelerate their uptake of innovative legal tech.

Gordon Vala-Webb, Lex Mundi Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation, said: “Partnering with Organizing4Innovation gives our member firms the ability to act upon ideas and get to concrete outcomes within 6 months. We have seen the benefits of the program for our member firms. Having this structured program and support for law firm teams is the difference between night and day; it means our firms can bring their ideas into reality”.

Floor Blindenbach-Driessen, the CEO of Organizing4Innovation, added “Partnering with Lex Mundi gives Organizing4Innovation a truly global audience, beyond the Americas and Europe where we were already active. It is very rewarding to work with the member firms on challenging issues such as the creation of new offerings, the development of new business models, the automation of time-consuming processes, and projects that make the work for associates more manageable. The constant influx of Lex Mundi teams will enable our organization to scale and grow our operations.”
